FynHp
Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 9, 2026 · Last updated: September 11, 2026

FynHp is a personal finance app. This policy explains what information we use, why we use it, and how you can control it.

We use this information to provide the app's features, save your financial records, secure your account, and manage subscriptions. We do not sell your personal or financial information or use it for advertising.

SMS and notification access

On Android, you can enable financial notification detection, incoming transaction SMS detection, or an import of past financial SMS. These are optional features with separate permissions and disclosures. Past SMS are scanned when you start an import.

FynHp uses these features to identify financial transactions. It filters out personal messages and non-transaction messages such as OTPs and promotional content. It does not send SMS, reply to notifications, or access your contacts.

Ordinary transaction detection and SMS parsing happen on your device. FynHp keeps transaction summaries, such as the amount, date, merchant or payee, category, and masked account details. It may automatically save detected transactions to your account; saved transactions are backed up like entries you add yourself and can be edited or deleted.

Raw notification text is processed in memory and is not stored or uploaded. Financial SMS awaiting processing may be stored temporarily on your device. SMS text is not included in account backups. If you use AI categorisation, selected SMS information is sent for cloud processing as described below.

You can turn these features off in the app or revoke their permissions in Android Settings. Turning a feature off stops further detection but does not delete transactions already saved.

Receipt scanning and transaction categorisation

Receipt scanning

When you scan a receipt, its image is uploaded to our cloud storage and sent to Google Gemini to extract details such as the merchant, amount, date, and category. You can review receipt results before saving them.

Transaction categorisation

When you use AI categorisation, selected financial SMS text and associated sender and timestamp information are sent through our servers to Google Gemini to identify the merchant or payee and category. Message text may contain transaction amounts, names, masked account details, and payment references. This feature involves cloud processing, even though the initial SMS parsing happens on your device.

We use these AI results to provide the requested scanning and categorisation features. AI results can be inaccurate; you can edit saved transaction details.

Storage and service providers

We use a cloud platform for account authentication, databases, and file storage; Google Gemini for AI processing; Google for optional sign-in; and RevenueCat and Google Play for subscriptions and billing. These providers process information needed to deliver their respective services, subject to their applicable terms and privacy practices.

We use encryption in transit and at rest for cloud data, along with access controls designed to restrict access to your records. No storage or transmission method is completely secure.

Retention and deletion

We keep account data while your account is active. You can delete individual records in the app or request account deletion. Data associated with your FynHp account is deleted within 30 days of account deletion.

Local detection data is kept only for processing and preventing duplicates:

Deleting your FynHp account also clears local detection records and disables detection.

Your choices

You can view and edit your financial records, export transactions as CSV from Insights, and manage optional permissions in the app and Android Settings.

To delete your account, use Settings → Delete account or visit our account deletion page.

Children

FynHp is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their personal information. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information so we can remove it.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the app changes. The latest revision date appears above.
